Our genuine sheepskin footwear is resilient to the basic elements but if they do get very wet you need to let them dry in a shaded area away from the sun and rain. The outside of the sheepskin boot is a soft leather and is not waterproofed when you receive them, so they won't withstand the harsh elements of heavy rain and snow for very long. Using waterproofing spray such as Sheepskin Water & Oil Repellent can help protect the boots from rain and snow. The first time this coating is applied should ideally be when the footwear is new.

To wash the boots, wet entire boot with cold water. Add Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner to a clean sponge or soft brush. Clean entire area thoroughly and evenly. Once you have washed and rinsed the footwear in cold water, place them in your washing machine and put it on a spin cycle for a few minutes just to get rid of the excess water. Reshape by stuffing with paper towel. Allow to dry naturally and slowly - DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight. You will notice once the footwear have dried that they have shrunk slightly but this is normal. After wearing them for an hour or so, they will go back to the normal, warm and comfortable state you are used to.
